EXPERIENCE AFRICA.
BEYOND WORDS.

ABOUT US
A story that began around a fire
A guide sang a verse so full of rhythm and feeling that the whole group fell silent, then erupted. A guest told him that when he started his own company, he had to call it African Verse Safaris. We named the company after that night because a safari should unfold like a story, not a checklist.

DESTINATIONS
The places that make the journey
The celebrated parks, crater landscapes and quieter corners of Northern Tanzania.

Arusha Region (Safari Gateway)
On the slopes of Mount Meru, this compact park is often skipped by tourists heading straight to Serengeti - yet it packs in flamingo-covered crater lakes, black-and-white colobus monkeys, giraffe, zebra, and buffalo, all within a short drive of the airport.

Tarangire National Park
Nicknamed "the country of elephants" for its huge herds gathering along the permanent Tarangire River, especially in the dry season. Known for iconic baobab-studded landscapes and excellent birdlife. ---

Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The world's largest intact volcanic caldera and a Big Five stronghold - lion, elephant, buffalo, and (with luck) black rhino, all concentrated in one bowl. The only member of the Big Five not found here is the giraffe, whose long legs can't manage the crater's steep walls.

Serengeti National Park
The classic year-round game viewing area - dependable predator sightings (lion, cheetah, leopard) alongside resident plains game.

Lake Manyara & Rift Valley Cultural Belt
Famous for tree-climbing lions and a dramatic setting beneath the Rift Valley escarpment, with large flocks of flamingo on the lake itself.

Lake Eyasi & Cultural Encounters
Home to the Hadzabe (Hadza) and Datoga peoples. Guests join a hunt with traditional bows and arrows and learn hunter-gatherer skills passed down for generations - one of the most authentic cultural encounters in Northern Tanzania, and one of the reasons Tanzania hidden-gem guides single Lake Eyasi out specifically. ---
